The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever humbles himself before Allah by one degree, Allah raises him by one degree, until He places him among the highest ranks. And whoever shows arrogance toward Allah by one degree, Allah lowers him by one degree, until He places him among the lowest of the low."
وبهذا الإسناد أن رسول الله ﷺ قال من تواضع لله درجة رفعه الله درجة حتى يجعله في عليين ومن تكبر على الله درجة وضعه الله درجة حتى يجعله في أسفل السافلين
