I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say from the pulpit, "What is the matter with people who claim that the kinship of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ will not benefit anyone on the Day of Resurrection? By Allah, my ties of kinship are connected in this world and the next. People, I will go ahead of you to the Pond."
حدثنا زكريا بن عدي أخبرنا عبيد الله يعني ابن عمرو عن عبد الله بن محمد بن عقيل
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول على المنبر ما بال أقوام تقول إن رحم رسول الله ﷺ لا تنفع يوم القيامة والله إن رحمي لموصولة في الدنيا والآخرة وإني أيها الناس فرط لكم على الحوض
