The Prophet ﷺ used to begin the day of Fitr and the day of Adha with the prayer before the sermon, then he would deliver the sermon. In his sermon, he would issue commands regarding dispatching expeditions and military detachments.
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا ابن جريج قال أخبرني الحارث بن عبد الرحمن عن عياض بن عبد الله بن سعد بن أبي سرح
أن النبي ﷺ كان يبدأ يوم الفطر ويوم الأضحى بالصلاة قبل الخطبة ثم يخطب فيكون في خطبته الأمر بالبعث والسرية
