The Prophet ﷺ used to go out on the day of Eid. Yahya said, "I know him to have said only Fitr and Adha." He would pray two units of prayer with the people, then stand facing them and say, "Give in charity." Most of those who gave in charity were the women.Abdul-Razzaq said, "They gave rings, earrings, and other such things."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to go out on the day of Fitr and pray those two units of prayer. If he had some need, or wished to dispatch an expedition, he would speak. Otherwise he would leave.
حدثنا يحيى عن داود بن قيس قال حدثني عياض حدثني أبو سعيد قال كان النبي ﷺ يخرج يوم العيد قال يحيى لا أعلمه إلا قال الفطر والأضحى فيصلي بالناس ركعتين فيقوم قائما فيستقبل الناس بوجهه ويقول تصدقوا فكان أكثر من يتصدق النساء قال عبد الرزاق بالخاتم والقرط والشيء فذكر معناه فإن كانت له حاجة أو أراد أن يضع بعثا تكلم وإلا انصرف
