From the Prophet ﷺ regarding currency exchange. He took my hand, and the man and I went together with him. He said, "What is this report that has reached me about you, that you narrate it from the Prophet ﷺ concerning currency exchange?"He replied, "My two ears heard it and my heart retained it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, who said, 'Do not sell gold for gold except in equal measure, nor silver for silver except in equal measure. Do not give some of it preference over the rest, and do not sell what is absent for what is present.'"
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن عبيد الله أخبرني نافع قال بلغ ابن عمر أن
عن النبي ﷺ في الصرف فأخذ يدي فذهبت أنا وهو والرجل فقال ما حديث بلغني عنك تأثره عن النبي ﷺ في الصرف فقال سمعته أذناي ووعاه قلبي من رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تبيعوا الذهب بالذهب إلا مثلا بمثل ولا الفضة بالفضة إلا مثلا بمثل ولا تفضلوا بعضها على بعض ولا تبيعوا منها غائبا بناجز
