Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

I asked the Prophet ﷺ, or a man asked him, saying, "Messenger of Allah, a wolf has cut off the tail of a sheep of mine. May I sacrifice it?"He replied, "Yes."Affan's version says, "Concerning the tail of a sheep of his that the wolf had cut off, he asked, 'May I sacrifice it?' He replied, 'Yes.'"

حدثنا سريج وعفان قالا حدثنا حماد وقال عفان أخبرنا الحجاج عن عطية بن سعد

عن أبي سعيد الخدري أنه قال

سألت النبي ﷺ أو سأله رجل فقال يا رسول الله إن الذئب قطع ذنب شاة لي فأضحي بها قال نعم وقال عفان عن ذنب شاة له فقطعها الذئب فقال أضحي بها قال نعم
