Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on the day of Eid al-Fitr, he would lead the people in those two units of prayer, then give the salutation, stand up, and face the people while they remained seated. He would say, "Give in charity," three times. Most of those who gave were women, donating earrings, rings, and other items. If the Messenger of Allah ﷺ needed to dispatch a military expedition, he would mention it to them. Otherwise, he would leave.

كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا خرج يوم العيد يوم الفطر صلى بالناس تينك الركعتين ثم سلم وقام فاستقبل الناس وهم جلوس فقال تصدقوا ثلاث مرات فكان أكثر من يتصدق النساء بالقرط وبالخاتم وبالشيء فإن كان لرسول الله ﷺ حاجة أن يضرب على الناس بعثا ذكره لهم وإلا انصرف
