A lizard was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, "Turn it onto its back." So it was turned onto its back. Then he said, "Turn it onto its belly." So it was turned onto its belly. Then he said, "A tribe from among those of the Children of Israil with whom Allah was angry went missing. If it is them, then this is it. If it is them, then this is it. If it is them, then this is it."
حدثنا يونس حدثنا حماد يعني ابن زيد قال حدثنا بشر بن حرب
أتي رسول الله ﷺ بضب فقال اقلبوه لظهره فقلب لظهره ثم قال اقلبوه لبطنه فقلب لبطنه فقال تاه سبط ممن غضب الله عليهم من بني إسرائيل فإن يك فهو هذا فإن يك فهو هذا فإن يك فهو هذا
