Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Iblis said to his Lord , 'By Your might and majesty, I will not cease to lead the children of Adam astray as long as the souls remain in them.' His Lord replied to him, 'By My might and majesty, I will not cease to forgive them as long as they seek My forgiveness.'"

حدثنا يونس حدثنا ليث عن يزيد يعني ابن الهاد عن عمرو

عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال

سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول إن إبليس قال لربه عز وجل وعزتك وجلالك لا أبرح أغوي بني آدم ما دامت الأرواح فيهم فقال له ربه عز وجل فبعزتي وجلالي لا أبرح أغفر لهم ما استغفروني
