Regarding doubt, one tries to determine what is most likely correct. A man said to him, citing the Prophet ﷺ, "In what I know..."
حدثنا هاشم قال حدثنا شعبة عن عمرو بن دينار عن سليمان اليشكري
في الوهم يتوخى قال له رجل عن النبي ﷺ قال فيما أعلم
Its isnad is sahih. Hashim is Ibn Qasim, mentioned previously, and Shuba bin Hajjaj is a well-known imam, as is Amr bin Dinar likewise, and Sulayman bin Qays Al-Yashkuri is trustworthy.
