The Prophet ﷺ said, "No prophet has ever been sent, nor any successor appointed, without having two inner circles of confidants. One urges him toward good and encourages him in it, and the other urges him toward evil and encourages him in it. The protected one is he whom Allah protects."
حدثنا وهب حدثنا أبي قال سمعت يونس عن الزهري عن أبي سلمة
عن النبي ﷺ قال ما بعث من نبي ولا استخلف من خليفة إلا كانت له بطانتان بطانة تأمره بالخير وتحضه عليه وبطانة تأمره بالشر وتحضه عليه والمعصوم من عصم الله
Its isnad is sahih. Wahb is the son of Jareer bin Hazim, and he and his father are both trustworthy. Yunus is the son of Yazid Ayli, a trustworthy and firmly established narrator. Bukhari related the hadith 9/95 in the Book of Rulings, chapter on the inner circle of the ruler, and Nasai 7/158 no. 4202 in the Book of Pledge of Allegiance, chapter on the inner circle of the ruler, and Bayhaqi 10/111.
