The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I give you glad tidings of the Mahdi. He will be sent to my nation during a time of disagreement among people and great upheavals. He will fill the earth with justice and fairness just as it had been filled with tyranny and oppression. The dweller of the heavens and the dweller of the earth will be pleased with him. He will distribute wealth in equal shares."A man asked him, "What do you mean by equal shares?"He replied, "Equally among the people."He continued, "Allah will fill the hearts of Muhammad's ﷺ nation with contentment, and his justice will encompass them all, to the point that he will order a herald to announce, 'Whoever has need of wealth, let him come forward.' Yet no one from among the people will rise except one man. The Mahdi will tell him, 'Go to the treasurer and say to him, The Mahdi orders you to give me wealth.' The treasurer will say to him, 'Scoop it up.' Once the man has gathered it into his lap and brought it out, he will regret what he did and say, 'I have been the greediest of Muhammad's nation, or has what sufficed them all proven too little for me alone?' So he will return it, but it will not be accepted from him. He will be told, 'We do not take back anything we have given.' This will continue for seven years, or eight, or nine. Then there will be no good in life after that," or he said, "then there will be no good in living after that."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا جعفر عن المعلى بن زياد حدثنا العلاء بن بشير عن أبي الصديق الناجي
قال رسول الله ﷺ أبشركم بالمهدي يبعث في أمتي على اختلاف من الناس وزلازل فيملأ الأرض قسطا وعدلا كما ملئت جورا وظلما يرضى عنه ساكن السماء وساكن الأرض يقسم المال صحاحا فقال له رجل ما صحاحا قال بالسوية بين الناس قال ويملأ الله قلوب أمة محمد ﷺ غنى ويسعهم عدله حتى يأمر مناديا فينادي فيقول من له في مال حاجة فما يقوم من الناس إلا رجل فيقول ائت السدان يعني الخازن فقل له إن المهدي يأمرك أن تعطيني مالا فيقول له احث حتى إذا جعله في حجره وأبرزه ندم فيقول كنت أجشع أمة محمد نفسا أوعجز عني ما وسعهم قال فيرده فلا يقبل منه فيقال له إنا لا نأخذ شيئا أعطيناه فيكون كذلك سبع سنين أو ثمان سنين أو تسع سنين ثم لا خير في العيش بعده أو قال ثم لا خير في الحياة بعده
