Aghar reported,

I bear witness that Abu Hurairah and Abu Saeed Khudri both testified that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Allah waits until the first third of the night has passed, then He descends and says, 'Is there anyone asking? Is there anyone repenting? Is there anyone seeking forgiveness? Is there anyone confessing his sins?'"A man asked him, "Until the dawn breaks?"He replied, "Yes."

عن الأغر قال

أشهد على أبي هريرة وأبي سعيد الخدري أنهما شهدا على النبي ﷺ أنه قال إن الله عز وجل يمهل حتى يذهب ثلث الليل ثم ينزل فيقول هل من سائل هل من تائب هل من مستغفر هل من مذنب قال فقال له رجل حتى يطلع الفجر قال نعم
