The Messenger of Allah ﷺ noticed a man directing his mount around the edges of the group. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever has a spare mount, let him give its benefit to one who has no mount, and whoever has surplus provisions, let him give them to one who has none," until we felt that none of us had any right to a surplus.
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا أبو الأشهب عن أبي نضرة
أن رسول الله ﷺ نظر إلى رجل يصرف راحلته في نواحي القوم فقال النبي ﷺ من كان عنده فضل من ظهر فليعد به على من لا ظهر له ومن كان له فضل من زاد فليعد به على من لا زاد له حتى رأينا أن لا حق لأحد منا في فضل
Its isnad is sahih, like the one before it. The hadith is found in Abu Dawud 2/125 no. 1663, in the chapter on zakat, section on the rights attached to wealth, and in Bayhaqi 10/35, in the chapter on sacrificial animals, section on the owner of wealth not withholding it from someone in dire need.
