Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ took an oath and emphasized it, he would say, "No, by the One in whose hand is the soul of Abu Qasim."He said, "A people will emerge from my nation whose deeds will make you regard your own deeds as insignificant. They recite the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their collarbones. They will pass through Islam as an arrow passes through its target."They asked, "Is there a sign by which they may be known?"He replied, "Among them will be a man with a small hand, or a small breast-like growth, and their heads will be shaved."Abu Saeed said, "Twenty, or just over twenty, of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ told me that Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, took charge of fighting them."The narrator said, "I saw Abu Saeed after he had grown old, his hands trembling, saying, 'Fighting them is more lawful in my view than fighting the same number of Turks.'"
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا عكرمة بن عمار عن عاصم بن شميخ
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا حلف واجتهد في اليمين قال لا والذي نفس أبي القاسم بيده ليخرجن قوم من أمتي تحقرون أعمالكم مع أعمالهم يقرءون القرآن لا يجاوز تراقيهم يمرقون من الإسلام كما يمرق السهم من الرمية قالوا فهل من علامة يعرفون بها قال فيهم رجل ذو يدية أو ثدية محلقي رءوسهم قال أبو سعيد فحدثني عشرون أو بضع وعشرون من أصحاب النبي ﷺ أن عليا رضي الله تعالى عنه ولي قتلهم قال فرأيت أبا سعيد بعدما كبر ويداه ترتعش يقول قتالهم أحل عندي من قتال عدتهم من الترك
