I bought a ram to sacrifice, but a wolf attacked it and tore off its tail. I asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, and he said, "Sacrifice it."

Its isnad is daif, because of Muhammad bin Qarazah, and Jabir bin Yazid Jafi is even weaker than him, though he is not a liar as Ibn Hazm claimed. The hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah, 2/105, no. 3146, and Bayhaqi, 9/289, through Jabir Jafi. The hadith is acceptable, as Bayhaqi cited many corroborating reports for it.
