The Prophet ﷺ said regarding the captives of Awtas, "No pregnant woman is to be approached until she gives birth, and no non-pregnant woman until she has had one menstrual period."
حدثنا يحيى بن إسحاق حدثنا شريك عن قيس بن وهب وأبي إسحاق عن أبي الوداك
أن النبي ﷺ قال في سبي أوطاس لا يقع على حامل حتى تضع وغير حامل حتى تحيض حيضة
Its isnad is hasan, because of Sharik bin Abdullah Nakhai. Yahya bin Ishaq is Bajali Silahini, who is trustworthy. Abu Ishaq is Subayi, whose name is Amr bin Abdullah. Abu Waddak is Jabr bin Nawf, and all of them are trustworthy narrators.The hadith is found in Muslim with similar wording, in the chapter on breastfeeding, on the permissibility of having intercourse with a captive woman, 2/1079, number 1456, and in Abu Dawud, 2/248, number 2157, and in Tirmidhi, 3/429, number 1132, where he said, hasan sahih.
