The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a man from the Ansar and sent for him. The man came out with water dripping from his head.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, "Perhaps we made you hurry?"He replied, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If you are made to hurry, or if you fail to ejaculate, then no full bath is required of you. Only ablution is required."
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر حدثنا شعبة عن الحكم عن ذكوان
أن رسول الله ﷺ مر على رجل من الأنصار فأرسل إليه فخرج ورأسه يقطر فقال له لعلنا أعجلناك قال نعم يا رسول الله فقال إذا أعجلت أو أقحطت فلا غسل عليك عليك الوضوء
Its isnad is sahih. Hakam is Ibn Utayba al-Kindi al-Kufi, not Ajli, and he is trustworthy. Zakwan is Abu Salih Samman, who comes up frequently.The hadith is found in Bukhari 1/65, in the book of wudu, in the chapter, "Whoever does not consider wudu necessary except from the two exits," and in Muslim 1/270, no. 345, in the book of menstruation, in the chapter, "Water is only required from water."
