Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

He said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hearts are of four kinds. A polished heart in which there is something like a shining lamp, a sealed heart bound up in its covering, an inverted heart, and a heart of two faces.As for the polished heart, it is the heart of the believer, with its lamp giving forth its light. As for the sealed heart, it is the heart of the disbeliever. As for the inverted heart, it is the heart of the hypocrite, who recognized the truth and then denied it. As for the heart of two faces, it is a heart in which there is both faith and hypocrisy. The likeness of faith in it is that of a green herb nourished by sweet water, and the likeness of hypocrisy in it is that of a sore nourished by pus and blood. Whichever of the two flows prevails over the other will dominate the heart."

عن أبي سعيد

قال قال رسول الله ﷺ القلوب أربعة قلب أجرد فيه مثل السراج يزهر وقلب أغلف مربوط على غلافه وقلب منكوس وقلب مصفح فأما القلب الأجرد فقلب المؤمن سراجه فيه نوره وأما القلب الأغلف فقلب الكافر وأما القلب المنكوس فقلب المنافق عرف ثم أنكر وأما القلب المصفح فقلب فيه إيمان ونفاق فمثل الإيمان فيه كمثل البقلة يمدها الماء الطيب ومثل النفاق فيه كمثل القرحة يمدها القيح والدم فأي المدتين غلبت على الأخرى غلبت عليه
