I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the witr prayer, and he said, "Perform the witr before dawn."

Its isnad is sahih. Hisham is Ibn Abu Abdullah Dastawai, previously mentioned, and he is trustworthy and a hafiz. Yahya is Ibn Abu Kathir. The hadith is found in Muslim 1/520, no. 754, in the book on travelers, prayer at night, Tirmidhi 2/332, no. 469, and Nasai 3/231, no. 1683.
