Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

Marwan brought out the pulpit on the day of Eid, though it had not been the practice to bring it out, and he began with the sermon before the prayer, though it had not been the practice to begin with it.A man stood up and said, "Marwan, you have gone against the Sunnah. You brought out the pulpit on the day of Eid, though it was not brought out on the day of Eid, and you began with the sermon before the prayer, though it was not begun with."Abu Saeed Khudri asked, "Who is this?"They replied, "So-and-so, son of so-and-so."Abu Saeed said, "As for this man, he has fulfilled his duty. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever among you sees an evil and is able to change it with his hand, let him do so.'"On another occasion, Mura said, "Let him change it with his hand. If he is unable to do so with his hand, then with his tongue. If he is unable to do so with his tongue, then with his heart, and that is the weakest of faith."

حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا الأعمش عن إسماعيل بن رجاء عن أبيه وعن قيس بن مسلم عن طارق بن شهاب كلاهما

عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال

أخرج مروان المنبر في يوم عيد ولم يكن يخرج به وبدأ بالخطبة قبل الصلاة ولم يكن يبدأ بها قال فقام رجل فقال يا مروان خالفت السنة أخرجت المنبر يوم عيد ولم يكن يخرج به في يوم عيد وبدأت بالخطبة قبل الصلاة ولم يكن يبدأ بها قال فقال أبو سعيد الخدري من هذا قالوا فلان بن فلان قال فقال أبو سعيد أما هذا فقد قضى ما عليه سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من رأى منكم منكرا فإن استطاع أن يغيره بيده فليفعل وقال مرة فليغيره بيده فإن لم يستطع بيده فبلسانه فإن لم يستطع بلسانه فبقلبه وذلك أضعف الإيمان
