Amarah bin Ghaziyyah reported from Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Saeed Khudri, who reported from his father, that he said, "My mother sent me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to ask him for something. So I came to him and sat down."He continued, "He turned toward me and said, 'Whoever seeks to be self-sufficient, Allah will make him sufficient. Whoever seeks to restrain himself from begging, Allah will keep him from it. Whoever asks Allah to suffice him, Allah will suffice him. But whoever begs while he owns the value of an ounce has been importunate in his begging.'"Abu Saeed said, "I thought to myself, my she-camel Yaqutah is worth more than an ounce. So I went back without asking him for anything."
