Abu Saeed Khudri reported,

He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Do not perform continuous fasting. Whoever among you wishes to continue his fast, let him continue until the predawn meal."They said, "But you yourself perform continuous fasting."He replied, "I am not like you. I spend the night with One who feeds me and gives me drink."

أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول لا تواصلوا فأيكم أراد أن يواصل فليواصل حتى السحر فقالوا إنك تواصل قال إني لست كهيئتكم إني أبيت لي مطعم يطعمني وساق يسقيني
