Two men disputed in the mosque that was founded on piety from the very first day. One man said it was the Mosque of Quba, while the other said it was the Mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "It is this mosque of mine."
Its isnad is sahih, but there is a question about it, for although Ishaq was a contemporary of Layth, I did not find anyone who mentioned this one among the students of that one, nor that one among the teachers of this one. Tirmidhi related the hadith, 5/280, no. 3099, and said, its isnad is hasan sahih gharib. Nasai also related it, 2/36, no. 697, from Qutayba, from Layth, from him, with the same wording. The one referred to here as Ibn Abu Saeed is Abdul-Rahman, and Imran is the one from Madinah.
