Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said that Allah said, "I am as My servant thinks of Me, and I am with him when he remembers Me. By Allah, Allah rejoices more at the repentance of His servant than any of you would rejoice at finding his lost animal in the wilderness."Abu Abdullah said, "I think he said his lost animal.""Whoever draws near to Me by a hand's span, I draw near to him by a cubit. Whoever draws near to Me by a cubit, I draw near to him by an arm's length. And when he comes to Me walking, I come to him at speed."

عن رسول الله ﷺ قال قال الله عز وجل أنا عند ظن عبدي بي وأنا معه حين يذكرني والله أفرح بتوبة عبده من أحدكم يجد ضالته بالفلاة قال أبو عبد الله أراه ضالته ومن تقرب إلي شبرا تقربت إليه ذراعا ومن تقرب إلي ذراعا تقربت إليه باعا فإذا أقبل إلي يمشي أقبلت إليه أهرول
