The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me, Zubayr, and Abu Marthad, all of us mounted horsemen, and said, "Go until you reach the meadow of Khakh," (Abu Awana said it this way) "for in it is a woman carrying a letter from Hatib bin Abu Balta to the polytheists." And he mentioned the hadith in its full length.

بعثني رسول الله ﷺ والزبير وأبا مرثد وكلنا فارس فقال انطلقوا حتى تبلغوا روضة خاخ كذا قال أبو عوانة فإن فيها امرأة معها صحيفة من حاطب بن أبي بلتعة إلى المشركين وذكر الحديث بطوله
Its isnad is sahih, and it is a shortened version of 827 with this same isnad, but there it was established in the sources as "al-hajj" with two khaas, and we mentioned there that Bukhari's narration through the route of Abu Awana has "haj" with haa and jeem, and we said, perhaps the error came from Musa bin Ismail, the teacher of Bukhari, so this should be corrected, because it has become clear from this narration that the error actually came from Abu Awana himself. See 600 and 1083, and Fath al-Bari 12:272, where the Hafiz established that the mistake was from Abu Awana.
