The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are four practices from the days of ignorance that people will not abandon. Wailing over the dead, boasting about lineage, attributing rainfall to the stars by saying, 'We were given rain by such-and-such star,' and belief in contagion, saying, 'One camel becomes mangy, then a hundred camels become mangy.' But who gave mange to the first one?"

قال رسول الله ﷺ أربع لا يدعها الناس من أمر الجاهلية النياحة والتعاير في الأحساب وقولهم سقينا بنوء كذا والعدوى جرب بعير فأجرب مائة بعير فمن أجرب الأول
