The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The funeral procession should not be followed by raised voices or fire, nor should anyone walk in front of it."
حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثنا حرب حدثنا يحيى حدثني باب بن عمير الحنفي حدثني رجل من أهل المدينة أن أباه حدثه أنه
قال رسول الله ﷺ لا يتبع الجنازة صوت ولا نار ولا يمشى بين يديها
Its chain of transmission is daif, containing two unknown narrators. The hadith is found in Abu Dawud, in the Book of Funerals, in the chapter on the fire that follows the deceased. It has already appeared with a sahih chain at 9483, and will also appear again with a sahih chain at 10824.
