The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I am closer to the believer than he is to himself. Whoever leaves behind a debt or dependents in need, it falls to me, and they shall not be left destitute. Let him call upon me, for I am his guardian. Whoever leaves behind wealth, it goes to his paternal relatives, whoever they may be."
