The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Four practices from the days of ignorance that people will not abandon: wailing over the dead, attacking lineages, attributing rainfall to the stars, where a man says, 'We were given rain by such and such a star,' and belief in contagion, where one camel becomes mangy and then a hundred catch the disease, but who infected the first one?"

قال رسول الله ﷺ أربع من أمر الجاهلية لن يدعهن الناس النياحة والطعن في الأنساب والأنواء يقول الرجل سقينا بنوء كذا وكذا والإعداء أجرب بعير فأجرب مائة فمن أعدى الأول
