A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ urged the people to give in charity.A man said, "I have such and such with me."Not a single person remained in the gathering who did not give something in charity, whether little or much.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Whoever sets a good precedent that is then followed will receive his full reward, along with a share of the rewards of those who follow it, without diminishing their rewards in the least. And whoever sets an evil precedent that is then followed will bear his full sin, along with a share of the sins of those who follow it, without diminishing their sins in the least."
حدثنا عبد الصمد حدثني أبي حدثنا أيوب عن محمد
جاء رجل إلى رسول الله ﷺ فحث عليه فقال رجل عندي كذا وكذا قال فما بقي في المجلس رجل إلا قد تصدق بما قل أو كثر فقال رسول الله ﷺ من سن خيرا فاستن به كان له أجره كاملا ومن أجور من استن به لا ينقص من أجورهم شيئا ومن استن شرا فاستن به فعليه وزره كاملا ومن أوزار الذي استن به لا ينقص من أوزارهم شيئا
