The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "No slave, male or female, swears a sinful oath at this pulpit, even over a fresh twig of siwak, but the Fire becomes obligatory for him."
حدثنا الضحاك عن الحسن بن يزيد بن فروخ الضمري المدني قال سمعت أبا سلمة يقول أشهد لسمعت
إن رسول الله ﷺ قال لا يحلف عند هذا المنبر عبد ولا أمة على يمين آثمة ولو على سواك رطب إلا وجبت له النار
Its isnad is sahih. Abu Dawud narrated it, 3246, in the Book of Oaths and Vows, chapter on what has been said regarding the gravity of the oath, and Malik, 2/727, in the Book of Judgments, chapter on what has been said about swearing falsely at the pulpit of the Prophet, with wording close to it, and Ibn Majah narrated it, 2/779, number 2326, in the Book of Rulings, chapter on taking an oath at points of contested rights, with its exact wording.
