A sheep was cooked, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give me the foreleg."So he handed it to him. Then he said, "Give me the foreleg."So he handed it to him. Then he said again, "Give me the foreleg."The man said, "Messenger of Allah, a sheep has only two forelegs."He replied, "Had you sought it, you would have found it."
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Ajlan's father's name was Ajlan, and they did not mention his lineage, but he is trustworthy. This was mentioned previously at 5089 with a daif chain, and this one supports it. It was likewise narrated by Darimi, 1/33, number 44, in the introduction, and Haythami, 8/311, indicated that it is hasan.
