May Allah destroy the Jews. Allah forbade them to consume fat, yet they sold it and consumed its price.
حدثنا روح حدثنا ابن جريج أخبرنا ابن شهاب عن سعيد بن المسيب أنه حدثه
قاتل الله اليهود حرم الله عليهم الشحوم فباعوه وأكلوا ثمنه
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari narrated it, 3/110, in "Sales, the fat of dead animals is not to be melted down," and Muslim, 3/1207, no. 1581, and Abu Dawud, 3/280, no. 3486, and Tirmidhi, 3/582, no. 1297, and Nasai, 7/177.His statement, "and they ate its price," refers the pronoun back to the fat, and this is permissible in the language.
