The Messenger of Allah ﷺ borrowed a camel from a man, and the man came to demand its return. The Prophet ﷺ said, "Find a camel for him and give it to him."They could only find one of a higher age than his original camel.They said, "Messenger of Allah, we could only find one older than his camel."He said, "Give it to him, for the best among you are those who repay their debts in the best manner."
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا سفيان الثوري عن سلمة بن كهيل عن أبي سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ استقرض من رجل بعيرا فجاء يتقاضاه بعيره فقال اطلبوا له بعيرا فادفعوه إليه فلم يجدوا إلا سنا فوق سنه فقالوا يا رسول الله لم نجد إلا سنا فوق سن بعيره فقال أعطوه فإن خياركم أحاسنكم قضاء
