The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever fashions an image will be punished on the Day of Resurrection until he breathes the spirit into it, yet he will never be able to breathe it in. Whoever eavesdrops on a people's conversation when they do not wish him to hear it will have molten lead poured into his ears. And whoever falsely claims to have seen a dream will be handed a barley grain and tormented until he ties its two ends together, yet he will never be able to tie them."
Its isnad is sahih. Bukhari related it, 7/217, in the chapter on clothing, on one who makes an image on the Day of Resurrection, as did Muslim, 3/1671, no. 2109, in the chapter on clothing, on the prohibition of making images of animals, and Abu Dawud, 5024, and Tirmidhi, 1751, who said it is hasan sahih, and Nasai, 8/215.
