The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays over a funeral receives one qirat, and whoever follows it until the burial is completed receives two qirats. One of them," or, "the smaller of them, is like Mount Uhud."Abu Salama said, "I mentioned this to Ibn Umar, and he found it weighty, so he sent word to Ayesha."She replied, "Abu Hurairah has spoken the truth."Ibn Umar then said, "We have certainly missed out on many qirats."
حدثنا يزيد قال وأخبرنا محمد عن أبي سلمة
قال رسول الله ﷺ من صلى على جنازة فله قيراط ومن تبعها حتى يقضى دفنها فله قيراطان أحدهما أو أصغرهما مثل أحد قال أبو سلمة فذكرت لابن عمر فتعاظمه فأرسل إلى عائشة فقالت صدق أبو هريرة فقال ابن عمر لقد فرطنا في قراريط كثيرة
