The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever leaves behind a hoarded treasure, it will appear before him on the Day of Resurrection as a bald serpent with two black spots above its eyes. It will pursue him, and he will say, 'Woe to you, what are you?' It will reply, 'I am your treasure that you left behind.' He will keep fleeing from it until it overtakes him and seizes his hand in its mouth, crushing it, and then devours the rest of his body."
