I stayed as a guest with Abu Hurairah. He said, "A son of mine died, and I grieved deeply over him. I asked, 'Did you hear anything from your beloved friend that might console us regarding our dead?'"He replied, "Yes, I heard him say, 'Their little ones are the little swimmers of Paradise.'"

Its isnad is sahih. Muslim narrated something similar to it in 4/2029, no. 2635, in the Book of Righteousness, chapter on the merit of one whose child dies, and Bukhari narrated it with the same wording in Adab al-Mufrad, 65, no. 145.
