The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Angels take turns watching over you by night," and in the narration of Abdul-Rahman, "and angels by day. They gather together at the time of the Asr prayer and the Fajr prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and Allah, though He knows best about them, asks them, 'How did you leave My servants?' They reply, 'We left them while they were praying, and we came to them while they were praying.'"
قال قرأت على عبد الرحمن: مالك وحدثنا إسحاق قال أخبرنا مالك عن أبي الزناد عن الأعرج
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال يتعاقبون فيكم ملائكة بالليل وفي حديث عبد الرحمن وملائكة بالنهار ويجتمعون في صلاة العصر وصلاة الفجر ثم يعرج الذين باتوا فيكم فيسألهم وهو أعلم بهم كيف تركتم عبادي فيقولون تركناهم وهم يصلون وأتيناهم وهم يصلون
