Abu Hurairah reported,

A man said, "Messenger of Allah, I have relatives whom I keep close while they cut me off, I treat them well while they mistreat me, and I remain forbearing while they behave foolishly toward me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "If it is truly as you say, it is as though you were feeding them hot ashes, and a Zaheer from Allah will remain with you as long as you continue in this way."

عن أبي هريرة قال

قال رجل يا رسول الله إن لي قرابة أصلهم ويقطعوني وأحسن إليهم ويسيئون إلي ويجهلون علي وأحلم عنهم فقال رسول الله ﷺ لئن كان كما تقول لكأنما تسفهم المل ولا يزال معك من الله عز وجل ظهير ما دمت على ذلك
