Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "A man set out from his village to visit a brother of his in another village. Allah stationed an angel on his path, and the angel sat waiting for him.When the man approached, the angel asked, 'Where are you headed?'The man replied, 'I am going to visit a brother of mine in this village, for the sake of Allah.'The angel asked, 'Has he done you some favor that you wish to repay?'He answered, 'No, I love him only for the sake of Allah .'The angel said, 'I am a messenger sent to you from your Lord, to tell you that Allah loves you just as you have loved this man for His sake.'"

عن أبي هريرة

عن النبي ﷺ قال خرج رجل من قريته يزور أخا له في قرية أخرى فأرصد الله له ملكا فجلس على طريقه فقال له أين تريد قال أريد أخا لي أزوره في الله في هذه القرية قال له هل له عليك من نعمة تربها قال لا ولكني أحببته في الله عز وجل قال فإني رسول ربك إليك أنه قد أحبك بما أحببته فيه
