The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Every child is born upon the natural religion." And on another occasion he said, "Every child is born upon the fitrah, then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian, or a polytheist."Someone asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about those who die before that?"He replied, "Allah knows best what they would have done."
حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح
قال رسول الله ﷺ ما من مولود يولد إلا على الملة وقال مرة كل مولود يولد على الفطرة فأبواه يهودانه وينصرانه ويشركانه قيل يا رسول الله أرأيت من مات قبل ذلك قال الله أعلم بما كانوا عاملين
