The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Tribulations will appear, killing will increase, and knowledge will be lifted away."When Umar heard Abu Hurayrah say, "Knowledge will be lifted away," Umar said, "It is not that knowledge will be stripped from the breasts of the scholars, rather, the scholars themselves will pass away."
حدثنا وكيع عن جعفر بن برقان عن يزيد بن الأصم
قال رسول الله ﷺ تظهر الفتن ويكثر الهرج ويرفع العلم فلما سمع عمر أبا هريرة يقول يرفع العلم قال عمر أما إنه ليس ينزع من صدور العلماء ولكن يذهب العلماء
