The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never criticized any food. If he had an appetite for it, he ate it, and if he did not, he left it.
حدثنا يحيى وعبد الرحمن المعنى عن سفيان قال يحيى قال حدثني سليمان عن أبي حازم
ما عاب رسول الله ﷺ طعاما قط كان إذا اشتهاه أكله وإذا لم يشتهه تركه
Its isnad is sahih. Sulayman is Ibn Tarkhan Taymi, Abu Mutamir, who is often mentioned by his kunya, and he is trustworthy. The hadith was narrated by Bukhari 9/547 no. 5409, in the Book of Virtues, chapter on the Seal of Prophethood, and Muslim 3/1363 no. 2064, and Abu Dawud 3763, in the Book of Foods, chapter on the dislike of finding fault with food, and Tirmidhi 2031, in the Book of Righteousness, chapter on what has been said about not finding fault with a blessing, and Ibn Majah, in the Book of Foods, chapter on the prohibition of finding fault with food, 2/1085 no. 3259.
