The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever finds his very own property in the possession of a man who has gone bankrupt has the greatest right to it."
حدثنا يحيى عن يحيى قال حدثني أبو بكر بن محمد عن عمر بن عبد العزيز عن أبي بكر بن عبد الرحمن
عن النبي ﷺ قال من وجد ماله بعينه عند رجل قد أفلس فهو أحق به
Its isnad is sahih, and it appeared previously at 7498. The first Yahya is Yahya bin Saeed Umawi, the well-known imam, and the second is Yahya bin Saeed Qattan, the Basran, a trustworthy imam. Abu Bakr bin Muhammad is the son of Amr bin Hazm Ansari, known by his kunya, also trustworthy. Abu Bakr bin Abdul-Rahman is the son of Harith bin Hisham bin Mughira, one of the seven jurists. The hadith appeared previously at 8973.
