It will be said to the companion of the Quran on the Day of Resurrection, "Recite and ascend, for your station is at the last verse you recite."
حدثنا وكيع قال حدثنا الأعمش عن أبي صالح عن أبي هريرة أو
يقال لصاحب القرآن يوم القيامة اقره وارقه فإن منزلتك عند آخر آية تقرؤها
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Abu Dawud reported it 2/73 no. 1464, in the book of prayer, on the recommendation of reciting the Quran slowly and clearly, and Tirmidhi reported it 5/177 no. 2914, in the merits of the Quran, and said, hasan sahih, and Ibn Majah 2/1242 no. 3781, and Hakim 1/503.
