The Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever prays over a funeral receives one qirat of reward, and whoever follows it until the burial is completed receives two qirats. The smaller of the two," or he said, "one of them, is like the size of Mount Uhud."When this reached Ibn Umar, he found it tremendous and sent word to Ayesha to verify it. She confirmed, "Abu Hurairah has spoken the truth."Ibn Umar then said, "We have indeed missed out on many qirats."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن محمد بن عمرو قال حدثني أبو سلمة
عن النبي ﷺ قال من صلى على جنازة كتب له قيراط فإن تبعها حتى يقضى دفنها فله قيراطان أصغرهما أو أحدهما مثل أحد فبلغ ذلك ابن عمر فتعاظمه فأرسل إلى عائشة فقالت صدق أبو هريرة فقال ابن عمر لقد فرطنا في قراريط كثيرة
