The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Dhuhr with two rakahs and then gave the salam. It was said to him, "The prayer has been shortened." So he prayed two more rakahs, then gave the salam, and then performed two prostrations.
حدثنا محمد بن جعفر وبهز المعنى قالا حدثنا شعبة عن سعد بن إبراهيم عن أبي سلمة قال بهز إنه سمع أبا سلمة
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى الظهر ركعتين ثم سلم فقيل له نقص من الصلاة فصلى ركعتين آخرتين ثم سلم ثم سجد سجدتين
