The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seek refuge from five things, the punishment of the grave, the punishment of Hell, the trial of life, the trial of death, and the trial of the false messiah, the Dajjal.
قال وكان يتعوذ من خمس من عذاب القبر وعذاب جهنم وفتنة المحيا وفتنة الممات وفتنة المسيح الدجال
Its isnad is sahih. Muslim narrated it (1/413, no. 588), and Nasai (8/276, no. 5510) with the same wording, and Bukhari narrated something similar to it (1/211, in the chapter on the adhan, the supplication before prayer), and Tirmidhi (5/525, no. 3494), saying it is hasan, and Ibn Majah (2/1262, no. 3840).
